Thermoplastic Fabrications

Brimar has invested in the major kinds of thermoplastic fabrication technology including:

Semi-Automatic Butt

Fusion Welding with a facility to join perfectly up to 3m lengths.

Extrusion Welding enables rapid high quality fabrication of products.

Hand Welding for fabrications where more complex or confined joining is required during the fabrication process.

Socket Fusion specifically suited for joining pipe and fittings.

Sheet Cutting capable of operating to an accuracy of plus or minus 0.5mm

Spark Testing
To ensure all welds carried out at Brimar are without flaw they are spark tested to a minimum of 20,000KVA.

Thermoplastics Materials

Brimar manufactures mainly from three kinds of thermoplastics material, polypropylene (F.P.), P.V.C. and P.V.D.F.
The appropriate material selection relates to the type of application and the environment in which the fabrication has to be housed.

Polypropylene is the most commonly used thermoplastic. It is extremely cost effective, durable and will resist attack by almost all organic and inorganic compounds up to 100°C.

Quality Assured

All manufacturing and design processes are strictly controlled by documented procedures, as part of the company’s Quality Assurance System, which complies with the stringent requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

Due to Brimar’s policy of continual development, the company reserves the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
